Green hydrogen production profile is subject to fluctuating renewable power input. Power and resulting hydrogen production may fluctuate from zero to 100 % on a daily basis. This is not only a challenge for an electrolysis system, but as well for compression. This presentation will address several compression concept options for a water and wind/solar powered hydrogen production scenario and compare resulting CAPEX, OPEX and overall economics.
