Total Water management Approach in Developing Ultra Low Carbon Intensity Hydrogen & Derivatives Projects
Ultra low carbon intensity hydrogen and its derivatives, such as electrolytic SAF, methanol, and ammonia are critical to decarbonising energy, heavy transport, and industrial sectors, with water playing a central role in their production. As projects scale in size and complexity, often sited near renewable energy sources where water is limited and wastewater discharge is challenging, taking a total water management approach in early phases of development is increasingly essential. This presentation details key water-related applications, processes, technologies and services that form the basis of total water management strategy, and provides real-world project examples detailing how a water management approach is the key to a sustainable water strategy that aligns with local sustainability goals in challenging environments, and ultimately reduces project risk.
