Beyond Electrolysers: How AI, Digital Twins and Power-to-Process Optimisation Will Unlock Competitive Green Hydrogen
Green hydrogen projects are under growing pressure to reduce costs and improve profitability. While much of the industry's focus has been on lowering electrolyser CAPEX, significant value remains untapped through smarter plant design and operation.
This presentation explores how AI, digital twins and advanced Energy Management Systems (EMS) can optimise the interaction between power generation, grid connectivity, energy storage and hydrogen production processes. By integrating power and process domains into a unified optimisation framework, operators can improve flexibility, increase renewable energy utilisation and ultimately reduce the Levelised Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH).
Drawing from real-world industry challenges, the session will highlight how intelligent optimisation can transform hydrogen plants from static assets into adaptive, data-driven systems capable of maximising value in increasingly volatile energy markets.
