Financing Vertically Integrated CCUS Chains: Public Support, Carbon Pricing and Private Capital
As CCUS projects move from feasibility toward deployment, investors must assess risks across the full value chain, from capture and aggregation through to transport, storage access, utilisation pathways and long-term revenue certainty. This session will examine how vertically integrated CCUS chains can be structured to attract private capital, and how public support, carbon pricing, contracts, guarantees and risk-sharing mechanisms can help bridge the gap between early project development and bankable infrastructure. The presentation will consider what investors need to see before committing capital, including credible offtake, clear regulatory frameworks, allocation of cross-chain risk, infrastructure readiness and a route to final investment decision.
