Scaling Hydrogen Globally: Certification, Trade and Skills for a Functioning Hydrogen Economy
This session will discuss how government-to-government cooperation can support the development of a functioning global hydrogen market. It will explore the role of policy alignment, certification, and mutual recognition in creating trust between hydrogen producers, buyers and governments, while enabling clearer rules for cross-boarder trade.
This presentation will also discuss the international trade frameworks needed to support hydrogen and hydrogen-derived products, as well as the skills base required to deliver projects safely and at scale.
Drawing on IPHE’s international perspective, the session will highlight the practical steps needed to move from fragmented national approaches towards a more coordinated global hydrogen economy.
