Toho Titanium Co., Ltd. (President: Manabu Hyakuno; hereinafter “Toho Titanium”) will exhibit at Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026, to be held in Hamburg, Germany.

Hydrogen Technology World Expo is one of the world’s largest international trade fairs dedicated to the latest technologies across the entire hydrogen value chain, from production, storage, and transportation to end use.

With support from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Toho Titanium will exhibit in the Japan Pavilion. At the exhibition, Toho Titanium will showcase WEBTi®, a porous titanium sheet, and TiOx, a titanium suboxide catalyst support, both of which are being evaluated for hydrogen production applications.

WEBTi® is a porous sheet produced by sintering fine titanium powder manufactured in-house. By improving catalyst utilization, it can contribute to reducing energy consumption of electrolyzer in hydrogen production. TiOx combines a high specific surface area with excellent electrical conductivity, enabling a substantial reduction in the amount of precious-metal catalyst materials such as platinum (Pt) and iridium (Ir).
