- Solution: In collaboration with TÜV SÜD, FPI obtained the Hydrogen System Component certification through a tailored testing and qualification approach. By combining TÜV SÜD’s hydrogen testing expertise with FPI’s composite know-how, new testing pathways were developed to enable certification despite missing standards. Transparent communication and close cooperation ensured a reliable path to market.
The successful certification demonstrates that composite piping systems can meet the demanding requirements of hydrogen applications, even where established standards are not yet available.
