Hydros Power to showcase STELION Booster Station at Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe
Spanish startup Hydros Power, backed by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology through EIT Urban Mobility, will present its first certified and commercialized product at Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe: STELION Booster Station.
The system is an electric compression unit designed to facilitate hydrogen supply for laboratories, universities, light mobility, UAVs and industrial applications, offering a flexible alternative for projects where deploying conventional infrastructure proves too slow and costly.
Hydros Power will participate in the upcoming edition of Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe, where attendees will be able to see STELION Booster Station in operation, the company’s first certified product to reach the market.
A COMPACT SOLUTION FOR HYDROGEN APPLICATIONS
STELION Booster Station is a compact electric compression system for hydrogen and other gases, designed for those who need to work with pressurized hydrogen in a flexible, safe way without relying on large fixed installations. The system allows users to configure inlet and outlet parameters through a digital interface and adapts operation to different target pressures based on the requirements of each application. This adjustability enables a single unit to serve multiple charging scenarios, reducing the need for application-specific solutions.
The product features an innovative manual and automatic operating mode, with digital pressure threshold control that starts, stops or resumes the charging process. This allows STELION Booster Station to automate a traditionally sensitive operation, reducing manual intervention and enabling more controlled hydrogen use across different environments. The system also incorporates an architecture built around electrical safety standards, an integrated power meter to monitor energy consumption, and an error management system accessible from the interface itself, helping users operate the equipment with greater traceability and confidence.
Its design addresses a clear market need by delivering a European-certified, ATEX-compliant electric compression solution that is easy to integrate and backed by European technical support. Key use cases include hydrogen supply for laboratories and universities, refueling of light vehicles, drones and UAVs, fuel cell system validation, and energy solution deployment in locations where conventional infrastructure involves timelines and costs that are difficult to justify.
