Bremen, Germany, October 2026 – Krause Automation will showcase its engineering expertise and integrated automation solutions for fuel cell and electrolyzer production at Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026, taking place October 20–22 in Hamburg, Germany. The focus will be on supporting manufacturers in the transition from product development to reliable and scalable industrial production.
From Product Development to Industrialization
As the hydrogen industry matures, manufacturers face the challenge of scaling production while maintaining quality, process stability, flexibility, and efficiency. This requires more than individual machines – production processes, automation, testing, and data need to work together as one integrated system.
As a system integrator, Krause Automation supports customers throughout the industrialization process – from factory planning and engineering to automation, integration, testing, and commissioning. The company supports manufacturers along the entire value chain of membrane (PEM), solid oxide (SO), and similar fuel cell and electrolyzer systems, developing and integrating production lines, manufacturing equipment, and test systems tailored to specific production requirements: From low-volume manual up to high scaled fully automized solutions.
“The hydrogen industry is moving toward industrialization. The challenge is to create production systems that manufacture reliably, efficiently, and at scale. This is where our experience as a system integrator creates value.”
Thomas Kuschel, Head of Sales Hydrogen at Krause Automation
Expertise Across the Hydrogen Manufacturing Value Chain
At the expo, Krause Automation will provide insights into its capabilities across key stages of fuel cell and electrolyzer manufacturing, including MEA manufacturing, bipolar plate production, stack and system assembly, testing, and factory planning.
A simplified live demonstration featuring the Diana 7 robotic arm from Agile Robots will illustrate an example how advanced robotics can be integrated into fuel cell manufacturing. In a pick-and-place application related to bipolar plate and MEA handling, the demonstration will show how robotic automation can support precise and flexible handling within the production process.
The demonstration reflects Krause Automation’s broader approach as a system integrator: selecting and integrating the right technologies based on the requirements of the production process rather than focusing on individual technologies in isolation.
As an Agile Robots company, Krause Automation combines more than 75 years of engineering and system integration experience with emerging technologies such as intelligent robotics, AI-powered automation, and Physical AI – with the goal of making industrial production more flexible, efficient, and future-ready.
