SM Instruments to Showcase BATCAM eFX and Advanced Fixed Ultrasonic Imaging Solutions at Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026
SM Instruments’ portable BATCAM ultrasonic camera visualizes potential gas leaks and abnormal sound sources during industrial equipment inspection.

SM Instruments Inc., a specialist in sound and vibration measurement and acoustic imaging technology, will exhibit at Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026 from 20 to 22 October at Hamburg Messe, Germany. Visitors can meet the company at Hall B7, Stand 7G56 and experience its ultrasonic imaging solutions for gas leak inspection, industrial safety and predictive maintenance.

At the center of the exhibition will be BATCAM eFX, a fixed explosion-protected ultrasonic camera developed for hazardous industrial environments. BATCAM eFX has obtained IECEx, ATEX and KCs explosion-protection certifications and is designed to visualize ultrasonic emissions generated by pressurized gas leaks and electrical faults.

By displaying the location of an ultrasonic source in real time, BATCAM eFX can support safer and faster inspection in hydrogen production facilities, storage and distribution systems, chemical and petrochemical plants, power facilities and other hazardous industrial areas.

SM Instruments will also showcase BATCAM FX, a fixed ultrasonic and acoustic camera designed for continuous outdoor monitoring. Equipped with 112 digital MEMS microphones, BATCAM FX can measure acoustic and ultrasonic signals up to 100 kHz and assist with detecting gas and air leaks, partial discharge and abnormal equipment noise.

Its IP65-rated enclosure, PoE+ connectivity, dedicated monitoring software and API support make BATCAM FX suitable for integration with remote monitoring systems, automated inspection platforms and industrial safety infrastructure.

Ultrasonic imaging detects the high-frequency acoustic signals generated when pressurized gas escapes. This enables maintenance teams to scan large areas and identify the location of potential leaks without waiting for gas to accumulate around a fixed concentration sensor. The technology can complement conventional gas concentration, pressure, flame and process safety systems.

In addition to its fixed monitoring solutions, SM Instruments will present its portable BATCAM ultrasonic camera series, including BATCAM 2S. The portable system combines real-time acoustic visualization with gas and air leak analysis, partial discharge measurement and abnormal noise inspection for fast field inspections.

The company will also introduce its SeeSV real-time sound camera series. SeeSV uses high-speed FPGA-based beamforming technology to visualize audible sound sources in real time and supports industrial troubleshooting, noise source localization, product development and sound quality analysis.

Through its participation in Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026, SM Instruments aims to connect with hydrogen producers, equipment manufacturers, EPC companies, facility operators, system integrators, distributors and research organizations seeking advanced inspection and monitoring technologies.

Visitors are invited to meet the SM Instruments team and experience its ultrasonic and acoustic imaging solutions at Hall B7, Stand 7G56.
