The SPIR STAR® 16mmHydrogen is a thermoplastic high-pressure hose developed for applications requiring the safe and efficient transfer of large volumes of gaseous hydrogen. With a working pressure of up to 600 bar and an inner diameter of 15.8 mm, it enables high flow rates and significantly reduces filling and unloading times.

Typical applications include the fast filling and unloading of Multiple-Element Gas Containers (MEGCs), hydrogen trailer filling, hydrogen transport and the refuelling of heavy-duty vehicles.

The hose features a low-permeation POM inner core, four layers of high-tensile spiralised steel wire and a durable polyamide outer cover. Hose assemblies can be manufactured in customised lengths and equipped with various end connections and accessories.
