CYTOK Energy Factory
The CYTOK Energy Factory is an industrial-scale power-to-gas platform for producing renewable molecules like SNG from surplus wind and solar electricity.
Designed for capacities from approximately to more than 100 MW, the energy factory can be adapted to the available renewable generation, local infrastructure, required production volume and intended use of the SNG. Potential applications include industrial energy supply, gas-grid injection, mobility, LNG and e-fuel production, as well as the provision of renewable SNG for heat and power generation.
A major advantage is the ability to use existing infrastructure. Renewable methane can be stored, transported and used within established gas networks, storage facilities, industrial processes and combined heat and power systems. This enables customers to integrate renewable energy without having to build an entirely new energy system.
The platform also uses Carbon Capture and Utilisation. CO₂ from biogenic or industrial sources can be converted into a valuable raw material for renewable molecule production. In a closed CYTOK system, CO₂ can be recovered and reused within the process.
