DILICO HCTS 50 is a standardized single cell test stand for the development and characterization of PEM and AEM electrolysis membranes. It enables researchers, membrane manufacturers and component developers to test materials under controlled and reproducible laboratory conditions at cell operating pressures of up to 50 bar.

The integrated baltic quickCONNECT fixture system allows membranes to be exchanged quickly and simplifies test preparation. The compression force applied to the active cell area can be adjusted using compressed air, enabling users to investigate the influence of contact pressure on membrane performance and electrolysis efficiency.

The test stand supports membrane areas of 25 cm², with other dimensions available on request. A controllable power source supplies currents of up to 250 A, while active heating and cooling regulate the cell temperature between 20 °C and 80 °C. The deionized water supply includes preheating and conductivity measurement to maintain defined process conditions.

Pressure and temperature are measured at all system inputs and outputs. Integrated gas drying, flow measurement and gas crossover detection provide additional information about process quality and operational safety. Hydrogen in oxygen and oxygen in hydrogen can be monitored within a range of 0 to 5 percent by volume.

The supplied software controls the test stand, records measurement data and supports detailed analysis. Test procedures can be programmed as scripts, allowing current, voltage and other operating parameters to be captured using repeatable sequences. An optional DILICO CURR TEMP system adds spatially resolved measurement of current density and temperature.

DILICO HCTS 50 helps users compare membranes, evaluate material behavior and generate reliable data for the development of efficient and durable electrolysis components.
