Evaluator PEM-EC

HORIBA / BeXema Hall: B6 Stand: 6B20

The Evaluator PEM-EC1 provides a compact and application-oriented platform for the development and validation of PEM electrolyzer cells. This reference product supports research and development activities throughout the entire development process, from material characterization to the evaluation of cell behavior under realistic operating conditions.

From Catalyst Optimization to Performance Validation

The Evaluator PEM-EC1 supports a wide range of applications in PEM electrolyzer cell research and development. It enables electrochemical characterization of materials, MEAs, and components, performance testing to evaluate efficiency, hydrogen production, and operating behavior, as well as Accelerated Stress Tests (ASTs) to assess stability and degradation under dynamic load profiles. In addition, gas crossover analyses can be performed to investigate safety and cell performance.

Reliable Testing under Dynamic Operating Conditions

PEM electrolyzer cells must operate reliably even under varying load conditions. The Evaluator PEM-EC1 supports the investigation of degradation mechanisms, performance limits, and safety aspects under realistic dynamic operating profiles, while facilitating the assessment of the long-term behavior of modern electrolysis technologies.

Versatile Research and Development Applications

From fundamental research to application-oriented development, the Evaluator PEM-EC1 supports a wide range of research and development activities. In addition to evaluating new materials and cell concepts, realistic operating conditions can be reproduced and dynamic load profiles and renewable energy sources can be simulated. This enables innovative PEM electrolysis technologies to be efficiently developed, compared, and validated.
