FLEXIPAC® CP™ Structured Packing: An advance Carbon Capture Solution
As carbon capture projects continue to scale, operators face increasing pressure to improve performance while minimizing capital investment and operating costs. FLEXIPAC® CP™ structured packing was developed specifically to address these challenges.
Engineered by Koch-Glitsch for post-combustion carbon capture applications, FLEXIPAC® CP™ combines high capacity, reduced pressure drop, and enhanced mass transfer efficiency in a single optimized solution. Compared to conventional structured packing technologies, FLEXIPAC® CP™ can achieve up to 65% lower pressure drop, helping reduce blower and regeneration energy requirements while maintaining high CO₂ capture performance.
The unique design enables customers to reduce column diameter, packing height, solvent circulation rates, and overall packing volume, creating opportunities for both CAPEX and OPEX savings. Unlike traditional approaches that trade efficiency for lower pressure drop, FLEXIPAC® CP™ delivers both performance and economics without compromise.
Performance has been validated at the Koch-Glitsch carbon capture pilot facility using commercially relevant amine-based solvent systems and a range of CO₂ concentrations representative of real-world post-combustion applications.
Whether applied in new-build facilities or retrofit projects, FLEXIPAC® CP™ helps carbon capture developers meet ambitious decarbonization goals while improving the overall economics of CO₂ capture operations.
