The sensor measures hydrogen partial pressure through diffusion across a silicone membrane to a polarized platinum anode, generating a current proportional to hydrogen concentration. The result is reliable hydrogen measurement with detection limits down to 0.3 µM in water.

You will get a fast-responding sensor for reliable hydrogen measurements in liquid and gas. You can select a tip size down to 10 µm to achieve high spatial resolution. You can choose between the standard H₂ sensor and the H₂-X version with built-in H₂S protection for environments containing hydrogen sulfide.

From trace detection to high-pressure systems

As hydrogen concentrations found in natural systems are generally very low, a low detection limit of the sensor is important.

Generally, the sensors' detection limit is close to 0.04% of hydrogen (0.3 µM in water) but with a larger tip membrane we can make the sensors even more sensitive, except for those with 10 µm and 25 µm tip diameter. Such low range sensors are more sensitive to stirring due to the larger analyte consumption rate.

And as for all Unisense sensors, we can also make sensors for much higher H₂ concentrations in pressurized systems.
