H-Convert

SECOM Hall: B5 Stand: 5G38

System architecture

The architecture of H-CONVERT is highly configurable and defined according to the specific requirements of each application.

Leveraging a broad portfolio of power converters, SECOM can design power conversion cabinets based on different architectures, selected and sized on a case-by-case basis according to:

  1. voltage and current levels
  2. required power quality
  3. efficiency and reliability targets
  4. CAPEX and OPEX objectives

Available configurations include:

  1. 6-, 12- and 24-pulse thyristor rectifiers
  2. IGBT-based solutions (AFE, chopper or isolated DC/DC)
  3. Hybrid architectures combining thyristor rectifiers and IGBT DC/DC stages

This approach allows the PSU to be configured at system level, avoiding one-size-fits-all solutions and enabling targeted optimization of performance and cost.

Power cabinet features

  1. Industrial-grade power cabinet designed for continuous operation (24/7)
  2. Modular and scalable layout, supporting parallel operation up to multi-MW systems
  3. Full integration of system logic (control, protections, interfaces)
  4. Degree of protection up to IP55
  5. Air- or water-cooled configurations
  6. Service-oriented mechanical design

The IP55 protection degree may eliminate the need for a dedicated container for the PSU, reducing plant complexity and overall CAPEX.

Typical Applications

  1. Power Supply Units for PEM, Alkaline and SOEC electrolyzers
  2. Hydrogen production plants and test facilities
  3. High-current, low-voltage industrial loads
  4. Data center power supply and critical infrastructures
  5. Stationary fuel cell applications
  6. Shore power and onshore power supply systems
  7. Integration within renewable-based power systems
