OringOne Hydrogen-Ready O-Rings are designed to meet the demanding requirements of hydrogen applications, where the permeability of non-metallic materials and the small size of hydrogen molecules can make sealing particularly challenging.

After exposure, the O-ring samples retained their original characteristics, showing no explosive decompression damage, swelling above 25%, shrinkage greater than 1%, or weight loss above 10%. All tested compounds proved to be compatible with hydrogen applications.

Hydrogen permeability was also evaluated by TÜV SÜD using 85 mm diameter samples. The tests were performed with 100% gaseous hydrogen and a mass spectrometer to measure the gas transmission rate.
