Hydrogen Scrubbers for Electrolyser Systems
Gas-liquid separation is a critical process in both alkaline and PEM electrolyser systems, where entrained moisture must be removed efficiently to protect downstream equipment and maintain stable operating conditions. Effective separation vessels must combine high removal efficiency with low pressure drop, long-term reliability and seamless integration into compact skid-mounted installations.
WTS fabricates large, high-performance stainless steel gas separators and scrubbers for hydrogen production applications. Manufactured to the precise mechanical specifications of electrolyser OEMs and system integrators, our scope includes vessel shells and heads, demister support systems, internal structures, process nozzles, instrument and level connections, structural supports and lifting arrangements. Equipment can be supplied as individual pressure vessels or as integrated modules tailored to project-specific requirements.
For oxygen-service applications, cleanliness is treated as a critical design and manufacturing requirement. All stainless steel fabrication is performed in a dedicated workshop physically segregated from carbon steel operations. Following fabrication, vessels undergo comprehensive pickling and passivation to remove residual iron contamination, weld heat tint and surface scale, ensuring optimum corrosion resistance, cleanliness and operational integrity.
Working closely with technology developers, system integrators and EPC contractors, WTS delivers engineered gas-treatment equipment that combines reliable separation performance, robust stainless steel construction and straightforward plant integration. The result is a durable, high-quality process vessel designed to support the efficiency, safety and long-term performance of modern hydrogen production facilities.
