MEGA provides advanced electrodialysis solutions designed for integration into carbon capture and release processes. The technology removes impurities from depleted absorbent solutions and enables their reuse, helping operators maintain absorption efficiency while reducing the need for fresh solvent replacement and disposal.

For flue gas carbon capture, MEGA electrodialysis removes heat-stable salts and other degradation products from amine-based absorbents. Purifying the existing solution can be approximately two to three times more cost-effective than replacing it. The process requires no regenerative chemicals, reduces solvent degradation and lowers both operating costs and environmental impact.

MEGA’s bipolar electrodialysis technology also supports direct air capture by regenerating bicarbonate-based capture solutions and purifying alkaline absorbents. In direct ocean capture, it produces acidic and alkaline streams from softened seawater to support CO₂ release and subsequent pH correction. The modular technology can be integrated into chemical processing loops and adapted to specific carbon capture applications.
