The MGP241 is a 2-in-1 probe that measures both CO₂ and humidity in demanding conditions, in vol-% or ppm by volume, or as dew point and frost point temperature. It uses patented CARBOCAP® infrared technology that enables simultaneous detection of multiple gases and compensates for sensor drift, sensor aging, and cross-interference between gases. Measuring gases directly in the process removes the need for drying or other sample treatment, simplifying installation and minimizing footprint compared to traditional gas analyzers, while the rapid measurement cycle takes only seconds for real-time process control. No calibration gases are needed for routine operation, with only a functional and drift check recommended every 12 months.

Main features

The probe measures CO₂ across a 0–100 vol-% range and water vapor up to 25 vol-%, with best CO₂ accuracy in the 90–100 vol-% range. It is a standalone probe with digital Modbus RTU over RS-485 and three 4–20 mA analog outputs, plus a 4–20 mA analog input for external temperature or pressure compensation. CO₂ can be shown on either a wet or dry basis, and the probe is compatible with Vaisala Insight PC software and the Indigo80, Indigo300, and Indigo520 devices. Note that the MGP241 is not Ex certified, so it is for standard (non-hazardous) electrical areas only.
