Momentum Materials NCP Supports™ are a family of advanced nanoporous carbon materials engineered for use as catalyst supports in fuel cells and other electrochemical systems.

Unlike conventional carbon blacks, NCP Supports™ feature a highly interconnected three-dimensional porous network with controllable pore sizes including 10 nm, 20 nm, 50 nm and 100 nm, with larger and mixed-pore structures also available. This engineered architecture provides accessible internal surface area for catalyst deposition while facilitating the transport of reactants and products through the catalyst layer.

The NCP platform can be tailored through control of pore size, resulting in different specific surface area, pore volume. We can also further graphitize the NCP products to increase its conductivity and carbon corrosion resistance.

NCP Supports™ are available in several configurations. NCP-10-HT, with an ~10 nm pore structure, is designed to provide a strong balance of catalyst accessibility and durability. Larger-pore and dual-pore grades are available where enhanced mass transport is required, while higher-surface-area grades can support applications requiring increased catalyst dispersion or loading.
