NOXO TB03 is a platinum-based heterogeneous catalyst supported on activated alumina beads, with a monomodal particle size distribution and a diameter of 4 mm, ensuring a strictly controlled size range. It is designed for removing hydrogen from an oxygen-containing CO2 stream in urea production plants. The catalyst is installed in the so-called “urea safety plant”, dedicated to purification of the CO2 stream to be recycled to the HP (high-pressure) separator preventing the H2-O2-CO2 mixture from entering the explosive range (explosion triangle).
