PEM electrolyser
The PEM electrolysis cell, with Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis technology, has an acid electrolyte solution in which H+ ion is transported from the anode to the cathode via a selective proton exchange polymer membrane. The H+ ion then reaches the cathode where the H2 molecule is produced.
The process liquid used in the PEM stack must be of the deionised type, i.e. Ultra Pure Water, ASTM I grade, characterised by a conductivity < 0.1 µS/cm, and TOC < 30 ppb. Our water treatment systema is able to directly transform ordinary water from the network, or another source, into ultra-pure water using filtration, reverse osmosis and deionisation systems.
Our modular and customisable PEM hydrogen generators are an optimal solution when coupled with a renewable energy source. These solutions are suitable for large-scale projects, from the use of hydrogen for industrial purposes to applications in power-to-methane plants.
