PEM test system 12 cm² High Amp
The qCF LC High Amp was developed for operation at high current densities, where heat generation becomes a critical factor. In collaboration with Fraunhofer ISE, the liquid cooling layers have been moved closer to the flow fields and are now in direct contact with the graphite flow field plates, in order to dissipate the heat generated more efficiently from the cellFixture.
At 5 A/cm² and 80 °C, a temperature difference of less than 1 K is achieved between the cathode gas outlet and the cooling fluid. All the advantages of the quickCONNECT principle – such as the adjustable contact pressure on the active surface, independence from sample thickness thanks to a self-aligning monopolar piston, and tool-free assembly – have been retained to ensure ease of use and maximum reproducibility of results.
