The Polybed® CO2 Pressure Swing Adsorption (CO2 PSA) system delivers high-purity hydrogen or carbon dioxide from diverse gas streams through cyclic pressurization and depressurization over selective adsorbent beds. Unlike traditional multi-unit schemes, PSA removes all impurities in a single step with minimal utility consumption. Systems comprise 4 to 16+ adsorber vessels in staggered cycles, using proprietary adsorbents and patented void-gas recovery for maximum yield. Commercially proven since 1966, with 1,180+ units delivered worldwide. Honeywell’s CO2 PSA can be integrated seamlessly with our cryogenic fractionation process in a variety of schemes to maximize the CO2 product recovery and to produce high quality CO2 product such as food grade with appropriate post-treatment.
