Pressure Testing Units up to 4,000 bar
The test procedure decides the layout of the unit: hold the pressure level precisely, ramp it smoothly, repeat cycles reproducibly, and keep the unit serviceable on site. KAMAT builds each unit around its own plunger pump and supplies pump, drive, frame, piping, control and monitoring from one source.
Technical features
- Pressure range to 4,000 bar for proof and burst testing of hydrogen tanks, valves, fittings and refuelling components
- Cyclic testing without pressure surges: stepless speed control over a 1:10 range, so flow follows the test curve instead of switching in steps
- One-piece pump heads from forged steel, supplied without coating, so repeated load cycles cannot damage a coating layer
- Materials matched to the test medium, proven with raw, unfiltered seawater at 680 bar and 50 °C ambient temperature using duplex pump heads and solid ceramic plungers
- Staged pump architecture for large test volumes: 690 bar at 413 l/min with 336 kW installed instead of 850 kW, which cuts the connected load at the test site by 60 percent
- All internal parts serviceable in the field, plunger and packing change within one hour without dismantling pump head or gearbox
- Touchscreen control with programmable test profiles, remote control and data transmission
