Laufenberg’s silicone flat gaskets are engineered as high-performance sealing components for PEM fuel cells and electrolyzers. Manufactured using a precision coating process, the gaskets exhibit excellent dimensional stability and controlled surface characteristics, enabling accurate positioning during automated or manual stack assembly.
The optimized surface profile provides outstanding gas and water tightness while requiring only low compression forces. As a result, additional sealing elements can often be avoided, simplifying cell design and assembly processes.
Available with PET core materials and customizable coating configurations, the gaskets can be tailored to specific stack designs and thickness requirements, typically ranging from 200 to 700 µm. Precise manufacturing processes ensure thickness tolerances of only a few micrometers, supporting consistent sealing performance across large production volumes.
