Temperature Control Solutions
Redox Flow offers three inline heat exchanger configurations, all built around the same PEEK flow-body platform so researchers can start small and scale up without changing systems.
Single Flow Temperature Control uses one PEEK flow body with a single heating channel, suited to alkaline water electrolysis with a shared electrolyte or any single circulating stream. It works with a hot plate, a cartridge heater, or a circulating fluid bath, whichever a lab already has on hand.
Double Flow Temperature Control adds a second, independent channel in the same flow body, so anolyte and catholyte can be heated or cooled separately from one unit. It's the natural fit for flow batteries and PEM, AEM, or alkaline electrolysis, where the two streams often need different thermal treatment.
High Power Temperature Control sandwiches a stainless steel block between two PEEK flow bodies for greater thermal capacity, either running two independent streams or coupled in parallel. It's built for stacks and other setups where the single- or double-flow units don't have enough heating or cooling power.
Across all three, only PEEK, PTFE, and polymer fittings contact the electrolyte, so switching on temperature control doesn't introduce a new corrosion risk. In testing, the platform reaches a 75°C setpoint in about 15 minutes for a 500 mL water volume.
