Temperature Testing

Tyne Pressure Testing Hall: B7 Stand: 7B53

The API 6A Appendix F PR2 qualification has been specifically designed for components which will be commissioned in remote and hostile environments. This gives engineers absolute confidence that their components can withstand the most arduous environments throughout their working life.

Our environmental testing bays can simulate temperatures as low as -160°C up to +300°C. Extreme temperature testing, alongside the application of high pressure gas testing, allows us to simulate extreme operating conditions and verify that a component can function under these conditions safely and reliably. Our testing engineers regularly conduct API 6A PR2 testing as part of this testing service.

Cryogenic testing

Cryogenic testing, or low temperature testing, can be conducted at our facility. Testing to low temperatures can be critical when components are intended for deployment within extreme environments such as the Arctic, or at high altitudes in the air.

Liquid nitrogen is stored on-site to facilitate testing to incredibly low temperatures. We can achieve temperatures down to -160°C.

Our team of highly skilled test engineers are experienced in completing temperature testing across a range of sectors. Clients have the opportunity to select our beginning to end, fully project managed testing service, or can independently hire the chambers.
