Ucaneo develops and deploys modular Direct Air Capture technology for the scalable removal of CO₂ directly from ambient air.

At the core of Ucaneo’s technology is an electrochemical process that uses electricity to regenerate the capture solution and release a concentrated CO₂ stream. The fully electrified system is designed for high energy efficiency, modular scale-up and integration with renewable energy and existing industrial infrastructure.

Ucaneo has commissioned a 150 tCO₂/year demonstration plant in Berlin and is progressing toward commercial-scale deployments, with its next plant planned at Yara’s industrial site near Rostock, Germany.

The technology is designed to enable:

• Permanent carbon removal through integration with CO₂ transport and geological storage infrastructure
