XOL-Series is AGC's proprietary non-aqueous CO₂ absorption solution, developed to overcome the energy penalties inherent in conventional water-based amine systems. Because XOL-Series does not contain water, it eliminates the energy loss caused by water evaporation during the regeneration (desorption) step.

Key features and benefits:

1. Reboiler duty reduced by approximately 40% compared to conventional 30wt% MEA aqueous solution
2. Desorption achievable below 100°C, enabling the use of low-grade waste heat
3. Absorption/desorption rate approximately 10 times faster than MEA
4. Suitable for point-source CO₂ capture applications, including blue hydrogen production (SMR/ATR), natural gas processing, and industrial flue gas treatment

XOL-Series was publicly demonstrated at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, and is currently under sample evaluation with industrial partners in Europe. AGC is actively seeking partners for further pilot-scale testing and collaborative development.
