This video provides an inside view of Finland’s first industrial-scale renewable hydrogen and eMethane production facility in Harjavalta.

Q Power delivered the plant’s 3 MW biological methanation unit, which converts renewable hydrogen and captured CO₂ into eMethane. The delivery demonstrates the industrial scalability of Q Power’s proprietary solid-state biological methanation technology and its integration into a complete Power-to-X production facility.

The video was filmed following the mechanical completion of the methanation unit. The plant has subsequently been commissioned and handed over to P2X Solutions.

The same technology can be integrated with biogas plants to convert CO₂ separated during biogas upgrading—or CO₂ contained directly in raw biogas—into additional renewable methane.
