Anodyne Chemistries is a clean-technology company reinventing how specialty chemicals are produced.

The chemicals that keep airport runways safe, help concrete to cure, oil and gas wells flowing, and crops growing are today made almost entirely from fossil inputs, through energy-intensive plants concentrated in a handful of regions. Anodyne's Anozyme® platform offers a different path: it pairs renewable electricity with enzyme-guided chemistry to convert captured CO₂ and industrial waste streams directly into high-value products — potassium formate and sodium formate, formic acid, and hydrogen peroxide.

The result is a modular, electrified route to chemicals the world already buys — one that consumes CO₂ rather than emitting it, and that can be sited close to where power and industrial feedstocks are available.

Anodyne's first markets include runway de-icing fluids, concrete admixtures, high-performance oilfield completion and drilling brines, agriculture, and feedstocks for sustainable aviation fuel. Across each, the company's aim is the same: to give manufacturers reliable access to low-cost, high-quality chemical alternatives, and to build resilient supply where today there is dependence on a narrow set of producers.

Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia, Anodyne has commissioned its pilot plant, signed its first commercial and co-development agreements, and is advancing toward a first-of-a-kind commercial demonstration facility. The company is Canadian-controlled and backed by climate- and innovation-focused investors.
