Founded in 1982 by Dr. Hans Mueller, a Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) graduate whose career produced more than 400 patents, DrM has grown into a globally recognised engineering company specialising in filtration, separation and mixing technologies. Today, DrM remains privately held and driven by the same spirit of technical innovation that defined its origins.
DrM's core products, the FUNDABAC® and CONTIBAC® Candle Filters, are fully enclosed, closed systems with more than 4,100 installations in operation worldwide, and approximately 150 new systems commissioned every year. This inherently sealed design makes them particularly well-suited for carbon capture applications, where safe handling of amine and alkaline solvents without risk of exposure or emission is critical.
With more than 80 filters currently in operation across refineries and CCS projects worldwide, DrM brings decades of field-tested experience to both established post-combustion plants and emerging Direct Air Capture installations. Both filter types are available in a range of sizes and materials to match the specific process conditions of each application.
