eChemicles is an award-winning Hungarian deep-tech company developing and commercializing patented low-temperature CO₂ electrolysis technology that converts captured industrial carbon dioxide (CO₂) into valuable chemical feedstocks such as green carbon monoxide (CO) using renewable electricity. By turning waste emissions into industrial resources, the company enables decarbonization while reducing dependence on fossil-derived carbon sources.
Founded in 2022, eChemicles combines more than a decade of scientific development (originating from the University of Szeged) with industrial scale-up and commercialization expertise. The company's technology has progressed from laboratory research to industrial validation, achieving TRL 7 through the successful deployment of a containerized demonstration system in a real industrial environment.
Its modular eChem100™ and eChem500™platforms are designed for direct integration with industrial CO₂ sources, enabling on-site production of green CO where it is needed. Through its product platforms, eChemicles is creating a scalable pathway from industrial pilots to commercial deployment. The company works closely with leading industrial partners, including through a Joint Development Agreement with Bosch Thin Metal Technologies focused on scaling electrolyser stack manufacturing.
eChemicles has built a strong intellectual property portfolio comprising five patent families and extensive proprietary know-how covering electrolyser design, manufacturing, system integration, and operation. The company is actively involved in several international innovation, demonstration, and industrial deployment projects that accelerate the adoption of carbon utilization technologies across multiple sectors.
Recognized by various national and international awards, including selection as a World Economic Forum UpLink Top Innovator, eChemicles is helping to establish a new generation of circular carbon solutions.
