Every day, we work to apply optical technologies to specific measurement tasks. At the intersection of science, research, and industry, we develop customized solutions ranging from measurement and inspection systems to high-end optical components for cutting-edge research. In our Gas and Process Technology department, we develop and manufacture measuring and control systems for gases and liquids to meet customer requirements. The main features of these systems are short measurement times, high precision and reliability, even under extreme conditions. Our research and development focuses on laser spectroscopic methods for gas analysis, energy-efficient gas and thermal sensors, and quantum magnetometry for flow metering. We research new heat dissipation and temperature control concepts based on heat pipes and Peltier elements, as we also work on caloric heat pumps.
