The Italian Hydrogen Association, H2IT, brings together large, medium-sized and small companies, research centres, universities, technology clusters and local authorities working across the hydrogen sector in Italy. With more than 180 members, the Association represents the full hydrogen value chain, from production to final applications. Its membership includes companies and organisations active in hydrogen logistics, transport, distribution and storage, technology developers such as electrolyser and fuel cell manufacturers, component suppliers, and system integrators focused on mobility, residential solutions, power generation and industrial uses. H2IT acts as a national reference point for the development of the Italian hydrogen ecosystem, promoting dialogue among industry, research, institutions and local territories. The Association supports the growth of a competitive national supply chain by identifying regulatory, technical and market barriers and by encouraging collaboration between large companies, SMEs, start-ups and research organisations. H2IT also contributes to policy discussions and strategic initiatives aimed at accelerating the deployment of hydrogen technologies in line with Italy’s energy transition objectives. Through working groups, studies, events and institutional engagement, it helps strengthen the role of hydrogen as a key vector for decarbonisation, innovation and long-term industrial development in Italy.
