IDT develops and manufactures advanced sealing solutions for alkaline and PEM electrolysers, hydrogen infrastructure and storage applications. Designed for high diffusion requirements and demanding operating conditions, our solutions help ensure reliable and permanently tight connections throughout the hydrogen value chain.
A key focus is the safe handling of both hydrogen and oxygen. As a highly reactive by-product of electrolysis, oxygen places additional demands on materials, cleanliness and sealing technology. IDT's LE-Safe gaskets address both media with an adhesive-free design combining metallic carriers with pure graphite components. They are suitable for electrolyser peripheral systems as well as flange connections in hydrogen transport and storage and have undergone batch-controlled testing for oxygen service by the German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM).
Beyond individual products, IDT supports customers throughout the sealing engineering process – from material selection and gasket design to qualification and application-specific testing. With 25 laboratory and testing facilities, our specialists analyse sealing systems, determine leakage performance and develop solutions for demanding operating conditions.
IDT is an independent, medium-sized specialist in industrial sealing technology with around 200 employees, an international presence and customers in more than 40 countries.
