The Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics (ISL) was founded in 1954. Located in Bremen and Bremerhaven, Germany, ISL develops practical solutions based on innovative ideas on behalf of public and private sector project partners/customers and works in interdisciplinary teams on projects from all over the world.
In its seven areas of competence, ISL offers, among other things, market analyses and forecasts, organises application-oriented innovative funded projects related to maritime logistics, and develops as well as integrates IT systems.
In the field of hydrogen and PtX technologies, ISL since 2012 has developed considerable experience through many projects and studies on regional, national, and EU-level. Our expertise facilitated our membership in high-level organisations such as Hydrogen Europe Research, enabling us to contribute with our knowledge to hydrogen-related research on European level.
