LEFFER is a German engineering and manufacturing company with more than 80 years of experience in the design, fabrication, and testing of pressure vessels and process equipment for the energy, chemical, and industrial gas sectors. Founded in 1946 in Saarbrücken, Germany, LEFFER has grown from a family-owned workshop into a trusted partner for critical infrastructure projects worldwide, combining decades of craftsmanship with modern manufacturing technology.
As the energy landscape shifts toward hydrogen, LEFFER has expanded its core competencies in large-scale pressure vessel manufacturing into the hydrogen value chain, delivering storage, production, and transportation solutions engineered to the highest safety and quality standards. The company operates as a one-stop-shop: design, engineering, welding, machining, heat treatment, and non-destructive testing all take place in-house, giving full control over quality and lead times from the first drawing to the finished vessel.
LEFFER's manufacturing capabilities span vessels up to 100 meters in length, 7 meters in diameter, and 600 tons in weight, with wall thicknesses exceeding 200 millimeters, built to serve some of the most demanding applications in the energy transition. Quality is underpinned by an extensive certification portfolio, including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO/IEC 17025, PED Module H and H1, ASME U and U2 stamps, AD 2000, EN ISO 3834-2, and DIN EN 13480, among others.
Guided by its philosophy that Competence builds Excellence, LEFFER continues to invest in sustainable, innovative solutions for a global customer base, helping industries build the infrastructure the hydrogen economy needs.
