Metacon is a Swedish developer, manufacturer and supplier of hydrogen production systems, covering design, installation, service and maintenance. We provide solutions for both electrolysis and reforming, enabling hydrogen production based on different energy sources, site conditions and customer requirements.
Our electrolysis offering ranges from smaller containerized units to 10 and 20 MW modules, with the ability to scale plants to 500+ MW. In close collaboration with Peric Hydrogen Technologies, we offer alkaline electrolyser stacks with proven lifetime, high efficiency and competitive cost levels, backed by 60 years of operating data and more than 1,500 installations.
Metacon also offers hydrogen production through patented steam reforming technologies with a small footprint, high efficiency, low energy consumption and flameless heating for increased safety. Our HIWAR® catalyst allows fuel flexibility, from biogas and LPG to alcohols and ammonia.
Beyond equipment supply, Metacon supports customers through engineering, plant design, automation, commissioning, service and maintenance. We are involved in hydrogen projects in markets including Sweden, Germany, Greece, Romania and North Africa, covering applications such as local renewable hydrogen production, industrial process integration, refinery-related use cases and energy system flexibility.
By combining technology, project experience and selected strategic partnerships, Metacon helps customers develop hydrogen production projects from early-stage planning to operational implementation.
