Marcus Gebhard started his career at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg with a degree in chemistry. His final thesis was focused on hydrogen fuel cell applications. In 2016, he moved to Berlin to start his doctoral thesis at the Freie Universit't Berlin where his research was dedicated to material preparation and characterization for electrolysis and batteries in the field of renewable energies. Since 2021 he has been working again on hydrogen in the position as programme manager for hydrogen and fuel cells at the National Organization Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology. In his position he is in charge for the wide field of components and systems and all aspects of research and development related to the funding progamme NIP.
