Dr. Abby Samson is a Senior Business Development Manager for Mitsubishi Heavy Industry EMEA’s carbon capture business, covering the UK and much of Europe. She supports MHI’s decarbonization activities across industries including cement, power, EfW and BECCS. Prior to this role, she was a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield and at Lincoln with over 20 years of experience in green/sustainable research on coal, biomass and CCUS. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Leeds in biomass conversion, a MS in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University in coal and carbon science and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame
