Adriana Alvarez is an energy executive with more than 22 years of international experience across the energy value chain, combining technical, operational, commercial and strategic leadership. A Petroleum Engineer by background, she has held senior roles with Schlumberger (SLB), ADNOC and LRQA, working across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Her career spans complex energy projects, industrial transformation, digitalization and global supply chains, giving her a broad perspective on the opportunities and challenges shaping the energy sector. Adriana is currently Head of Energy, Renewables and Engineering for EMEA at LRQA, where she leads sector strategy and growth across conventional energy, renewables and the energy transition. She works closely with major energy companies, developers and industrial organisations on strategic priorities including hydrogen, CCUS, wind, supply-chain resilience and industrial decarbonisation. Her perspective combines first-hand experience of traditional energy operations with a strong understanding of the commercial and organisational challenges involved in scaling new technologies and building resilient, lower-carbon energy systems.
