Angel is a Chemical Engineer providing process safety, risk and reliability consultancy services to the O&G, refining, (petro)-chemical and renewable sectors for over 25 years. He is currently a Senior Principal Consultant and Vice President of Sales for Europe, leading sales in technical safety, process safety, risk management, mechanical integrity and asset management for Vysus Group in the region. Previously, Angel held both managerial and technical roles in various international assignments such as The Netherlands and Australia, including VP Operations for Europe, Technical Lead for Risk Analysis Onshore and Global Design Appraisal Technical Authority for SIL and HIPPS for Lloyd´s Register. During his career, Angel has delivered HAZIDs, HAZOPs, QRAs, FERAs, OBRAs, SIL studies, as well as Safety Cases, Audits and Root Cause Analyses worldwide for the energy industry onshore and offshore. Angel is very active in the low carbon energy sector and has recently participated in various safety studies for complex hydrogen, ammonia, methanol and CO2 projects in Mexico, Spain, The Netherlands, Oman, Denmark and Portugal in recent years. He is also an adjunct professor of Industrial Safety at the Master´s in Chemical Engineering at the University of IQS in Barcelona since 2021.
