Antonio Iliceto

His recent areas of work include sector coupling, hydrogen and the impact of electric vehicles on power grids, the electrification of industrial processes and the built environment, interconnections and global grids, flexibility and resilience studies, energy scenarios and project economic assessments, and European innovation roadmaps.
He has been employed by Terna Group, the Italian Transmission System Operator, for 23 years. He currently works in International Operations within the Strategy, Planning and Despatching Department. His previous roles have covered international business development, interconnection projects, investment planning, technical innovation deployment, and the set-up and evolution of electricity markets.
Before joining Terna Group, Antonio spent 10 years at ENI, a major Italian company in the oil and gas sector. There, he worked on strategic development, investment appraisal, the management of intercontinental subsidiaries, and mergers and acquisitions.
He currently holds roles in several international organisations, including CIGRE, ENTSO-E, MedTSO, ETIP SNET, ISGAN, IEC, IEA, WEF, and Dii Desert Energy.
