Ellie Zemani is a Chartered Project Professional with over 20 years’ experience leading energy infrastructure projects and operated assets across the UKCS and energy transition sectors. She is currently Project Director at dCarbonX, leading the development of a national-scale hydrogen-ready underground gas storage project, supporting the UK’s energy security and decarbonisation ambitions. Her career spans senior roles at Spirit Energy (formerly Centrica) and Rider Hunt International (now part of Wood), where she led asset management, capital project delivery, and investment development across complex, operated environments. Ellie brings a multidisciplinary perspective across engineering, economics, and regulation. She also serves as a Board and Audit & Risk Committee member, contributing to governance and strategic oversight in regulated environments. Ellie was named among the UK’s Top 50 Women in Engineering (WES, 2018) and has recently presented at the Society of Petroleum Engineers on hydrogen-ready gas storage development.
