Freya Onneken has been Expert for Energy and Climate Policy at the Federation of German Industries (BDI) since 2025, where she is responsible for hydrogen. She previously worked with GIZ’s Climate Diplomacy Action Programme and the World Energy Council Germany, and holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Politics with a focus on energy from Bocconi University.
