Gopalan is a Research Scientist in the Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics department at the Research Organization TNO in The Netherlands. Gopalan has been working in this department for 4 years after graduating with a master's in applied mathematics from TU Delft. The current research portfolio of Gopalan includes modelling future-proof multi-commodity energy networks, within which he has contributed to various projects on software developments, both for internal and external businesses and governments, supporting on energy system integration, innovation and techno economic studies. Gopalan is one of the contributors of Hy3+ program, which provides independent advice on the cross-border infrastructure for hydrogen transport in North-West Europe, working in a consortium with partners across the entire value chain.
